Brain tumors are of two types primary tumors and secondary tumors also known as metastatic tumors. Brain metastases are the most common type of intracranial tumor. Primary cancers like lung, breast, and prostate cancers are most likely to metastasize to the brain. Primary tumors are rare and consist of ganglioglioma, astrocytoma, dysembryoplastic neuroepithelial tumor. They most commonly present with seizures/ fits, headache, vomiting, blurring of vision, weakness of limbs, balance difficulties. These tumors can be cured using conventional therapies, long-term survival and palliation are possible with minimal adverse effects to patients.
